Duet

from Curtains by Paris Street

lyrics

Your handmade skirt fits you perfectly
A pair of black socks pulled up to your knees

"You put your most flamboyant dress shirt on
We finished off the wine and we were gone"

To make fools of ourselves in every bar
To make the whole town exclusively ours

"I took pictures of everyone we met"
I bought more drinks and rolled your cigarettes

"I danced although no songs were being played"
I kissed the fool who kept looking your way

And we laughed until we were falling off our chairs
Last call came and went, we didn't care

We made fools of ourselves in every bar
We made the whole town exclusively ours

I've seen my future in your reddened eyes
I've found the point where your heart touches mine

credits

from Curtains, released March 5, 2013
Written by Carl Polgar.
Performed by Christy Anderson (vocals), Carl Polgar (vocals, guitars, keyboard, iBone), and Darrin Revell (drums).
Darrin's drums were recorded in the fall of 2007 in the garage of a duplex in the Sylvan Park neighborhood of Nashville. The rest of the song was recorded in January of 2013 at a house in the Inglewood neighborhood of Nashville.
For the uninitiated, the iBone is a terrific app available for both Android and Apple products.
